Home Watch is a vital service dedicated to regularly checking a property, ensuring it is secure, well maintained and addressing any issues promptly. Homeowners who spend extended periods away from their properties, due to travel, seasonal residence patterns or other reasons can rest easy, knowing their property is being looked after.

Many problems can surface in an unoccupied property, most of which start small and become a problem over time.

Ex 1. Mold due to high humidity is the most common issue. A/C can stop functioning for a number of reasons, which can quickly allow humidity levels to rise significantly, especially during summer months.

Ex2. Water intrusion from a roof leak can not only damage drywall and wood but the electrical system and its components (lights, TVs, appliances).

The earlier an issue can be identified and addressed, the less chance for compounding damage to occur to the property.

After the inspection is complete, an email will be sent to you with an attached report. The report will also be available in the customer portal (through the “Portal” button above). The inspection report will contain photos and a detailed explanation of what was observed and if any issues were found during the visit. If the issue is urgent, you will be contacted immediately.

This can be a personal preference, but can also be a policy requirement by your insurance provider or HOA. The more frequent you have inspections, the better chance at catching an issue before it become a larger problem.

More frequently, insurance contracts will require a property to be occupied or inspected every X days. Make sure to check your insurance policy for details.

Any issues discovered in the inspection will be listed in the report. If service/repair is required, the owner will be contacted and notified. If contact(s) cant be reached and the problem is urgent enough (ex. flooding), we can have the problem resolved in a professional, cost effective manner.
